FluviusH2 Limited has officially joined Hong Kong Science Park. This milestone marks a new stage in our work to industrialise enzyme-coupled hydrogen production and advance the transition to cleaner energy.
Hong Kong Science Park brings together a dense network of technology companies, researchers and innovation talent. Establishing our base here enables faster technical iteration, closer collaboration with international research partners and more efficient routes from product development to market.
Addressing the challenges of conventional electrolysis
FluviusH2 focuses on three persistent challenges in conventional water electrolysis: cost, energy use and dependence on scarce metals. Our enzyme-coupled approach replaces precious-metal catalysts such as platinum and iridium with efficient enzyme-based catalysts, opening a pathway towards more affordable green hydrogen.
The next stage
At the R&D level, we will continue improving catalyst performance and hydrogen-production units. At the industrial level, we will expand the team and advance first-generation units towards production. Through Hong Kong Science Park's global platform, we will connect international research with mainland China's industrial ecosystem.
Founder and CEO Dr Zehui Duan said the goal is not simply to develop a new technology, but to make hydrogen a genuinely affordable and accessible source of clean energy.
FluviusH2 believes the energy system of the future must be both low-carbon and inclusive.
